This year, Te Rā Aro ki Matariki is observed on Friday 28 June 2024. In the lead-up to Matariki, join us in celebrating with a week of dazzling activities for the little stars in our lives.

- Poi Making from 2:00pm - 4:00pm

- Matariki Story Time at 10:00am
Ōmokoroa Library & Service Centre
Tuesday 25 June
- Colouring and worksheet activities available all week

Waihī Beach Library & Service Centre

- Colouring and worksheet activities available all week
- Matariki Story Time at 10:00am
Te Puke Library & Service Centre
Wednesday 26 June
- Celebrate Matariki at Game On, our weekly board and card game session, from 3:30pm - 4:30pm
Thursday 27 June
- A special Matariki storytime, 'Read, Sing, Move' session with guest storyteller Te Whetu Hawera, and Shooting Star craft activity from 10:30am - 11:30am

Available at all Western Bay libraries from Monday 24 June until Thursday 4 July
Our Library and Service Centres will be CLOSED on Thursday 27 June from 12 noon, Friday 28 June for Matariki and will reopen on Saturday 29 June from 9am - 12 noon
