You can access eBooks through our library’s ePlatform or BorrowBox using your web browser and by borrowing them, and then downloading the titles.
Choose the eBooks
To choose the books you want, use your browser on your computer and then follow the below steps.
- Go to our library’s ePlatform or BorrowBox website
- Log in, using your Library Card Number and Pin Number (you have set previously),
- Browse through the eBooks catalogue
- Choose ‘Borrow’ on those titles you wish to read.
- Click on 'Confirm Ebook Loan'
Install Adobe Digital Editions
To download and read titles (including all PDF titles) you will need to obtain an Adobe ID and download additional reader software, as follows.
- Sign up for and receive a free Adobe ID
- Write down your Adobe ID and password (you will need this)
- Download Adobe Digital Editions
- Install Adobe Digital Editions software
- Once installed, restart your computer
- After the restart
- Open the Adobe Digital Editions software
- Enter your Adobe ID and password to authorize the app.
Download your eBooks
- Choose 'Download for eReader (Adobe ePub)'
- Click on the file, which should open Adobe Digital Editions - to begin reading
Transfer eBook to eReader
- Connect your eReader device to your computer using the cable provided.
- It should appear in Adobe Digital Editions in the list on the left side.
- Your borrowed eBooks should appear on the right side of the Adobe Digital Editions window.
- Click and Drag the eBook onto the eReader device.
Please note you may be unable to read our eBooks on a Kindle eReader.
